Your Pre-Trail Checklist

The "Must-Haves" Stash (What to Pack)

Prepare For Mountain Tantrums

Mountain weather loves to throw a sudden tantrum, so layers are your best friend. To make the most of your day, make sure your daypack includes:

  • Your National Park Pass

  • Plenty of water

  • Footwear that grips (hiking boots or sturdy trail runners)

  • The elements shields: raincoat, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and sunglasses

  • Your camera (trust us, you'll want it)

Game Day

Keep an eye on your inbox! We’ll send an email the week of your adventure with exact meeting coordinates and all the need-to-know details for the day.

A quick heads-up: Please roll up 10-15 minutes early. We want to maximize your time in the wild, which means we start on the dot. Our guides are eager to hit the trail and won't be able to hold up the rest of the group for latecomers!

The Highlights

  • A Masterclass in the Wild: No guesswork while learning to spot and identify local wildflowers like a true insider.

  • Expert Navigation: Led by a local guide who knows exactly where the best blooms are hiding.

  • No Rushing Allowed: A delightfully slow, "stop and smell the roses" pace to soak it all in.

  • The Reward: Seriously good trail snacks and a little something special to take home.

who Brings What?

What’s In Our Pack (Included):

  • The Expert: Your professional guide and trail translator.

  • The Gear: Hiking poles to save your knees, plus wildflower workbooks and ID guides.

  • The Fuel: Trailside beverages and yummy snacks.

  • The Swag: A special parting gift (because we like you).

What’s On You (Not Included):

  • Transportation: Your ride to the trailhead.

  • Access: Your National Park Pass.

  • The Wardrobe: Your personal clothing and daypack gear.

  • Gratuity: High-fives are free, but tips for an epic guide are wildly appreciated!

  • The Magic Number: We need a minimum of 4 participants to run this experience.

  • Age Limits: Guests under 18 must have parental consent. Guests under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Sober Summits Only: Guests must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including cannabis. For everyone's safety, Uplift Adventures will refuse participation without compensation if a guest arrives under the influence.

  • Cancellation Policy: We put a lot of behind-the-scenes work into mapping out your adventure, prepping gear and supplies, and scheduling our guides. Because of that prep work, here is how our cancellation policy breaks down:

    • When Mother Nature Changes the Plan (a.k.a. if we cancel)
If we have to call off a tour due to wild weather, low registration, or other unforeseen trail hiccups, we’ll do our absolute best to reschedule you. If that doesn't work out, you’ll get a full refund. (Just a heads-up: we are not responsible for outside travel expenses you might have incurred, like hotels, plane tickets, or rental cars, if a tour gets cancelled).

    • Solo Explorers & Small Crews (1–3 Guests)

      • 48+ Hours Out: Plans change! Let us know at least 48 hours before your tour, and we’ll happily refund your booking, minus a quick $25 admin fee to cover the fees we acquire when you book.

      • Less Than 48 Hours: Inside that 48-hour window? Your booking is non-refundable, as our guides are already geared up and prepping for the tour.

    • Group Expeditions (4+ Guests)

      • 7+ Days Out: Wrangling a bigger group takes work, and so do cancellations! Give us at least 7 days' notice to receive a partial refund, less a $25 admin fee and 3% processing fee.

      • Less Than 7 Days: If the group has to step back with less than 7 days to go, the booking is non-refundable.

    • Rescheduling Your Adventure We know detours happen. We’ll always do our best to shift your dates around, provided we have the availability.

      • 7+ Days Out: Need to swap your date? Give us 7 or more days' notice and we’ll make the change at no charge.

      • Less Than 7 Days: If you need to pivot closer to your tour date (but before the non-refundable window kicks in), we can still reschedule you, subject to a $25 fee to cover the schedule shuffle.
